Filtration is the ability of your pool pump to push your pool water through your filter to ensure the total volume of water in your pool is filtered on a daily basis. If you have a salt water chlorinator your chlorinator and pool filter will come on automatically every day at the times set by the installer. You need to keep your pool filter clean. If it is a sand filter you will need to backwash it to waste. Your Pool Pro Stockist or filter instruction book will give you the details. If your filter is a DE or Diatomaceous Earth filter you will need to replace the DE Powder with Pool Pro Clear‘n’Clean DE from time to time. If your filter is a cartridge filter you will need to remove the cartridge and clean it using Pool Pro Filter Cleaner and Degreaser. Your Pool Pro Professional or filter instruction book will show you how.
TIP: Filtration alone is not enough to keep your pool sparkling clean, it must be done in conjunction with sanitation and water balance. Remember to clean your filter regularly, a dirty filter cannot filter effectively.
