The Basics of Spa Pool Management

If you own a spa pool or hot tub, it is important to understand that it requires a certain amount of maintenance to ensure it operates properly and that the water remains clean and free from bacteria and pollutants. The treatment differs from that for a pool because you are usually dealing with hot water. Hot water requires different treatment to prevent the development of viruses, bacteria and algae.

Spa Pro Bromine is the recognised sanitiser for hot water.  You will need to check Bromine levels (hot water), chlorine levels (cold water), total alkalinity, and pH on a regular basis. Your Pool Pro Professional will be able to advise you of a suitable test kit and it’s correct use. For general hygiene it is important to keep the filter and pump clean.
